制服処女 ザ・えじき
Directed by Hisayasu Satô
Synopsis
The highlight! The virgins are scattered. The smell of fresh rape, behind the school building in the afternoon, no one will help you!
A sullen horny student stalks female students in the endless hallways of a desolate high school with a video camera. But are his violent and abusive recordings fantasies or reality?

Review by Dave Jackson ★★★
Warning: This review gets a bit yucky.
This is the Satô title that I dreaded watching. Uniform Virgin: The Prey is shot on video, a Nikkatsu Roman X film. It is more AV than pink film—a hazy shot-on-video porn. And based on a quick flick through, it looked like typical mean mid-80s Japanese porn—something I find quite the endurance test. In many ways, this is an endurance test. We follow a gross high schooler as he fantasises about sexually assaulting his classmates. He has a constant expression of braindead perverse glee as he rapes his way through the video, grunting out vicious dialogue to match. Essentially, this is just a bunch of violent sex scenes strung together with monologues from…

Hisayasu Satô enters the SOV-gutter of Nikkatsu Roman X: featuring an assault that looks like Jackson Pollock trying to paint "Tumbling Doll of Flesh." Satô's other films are respectable compared to this (pumping like a cum-addicted Criterion). By contrast, this is a rotting nightmare - for the lowest fans (freaks) of Japanese movies.
"Uniform Virgin: The Prey" (Aug. 9, 1986) comes 1 year after the official "Roman X" launch of "Woman in a Box: Virgin Sacrifice" & "Taboo X Perversion" (Sept. 7, 1985). Those films are more narrative-driven than the mostly pseudo-Adult Video to follow. If anything, the guerrilla film-making here (the bridge scene) harkens to the proto-Roman X, "The Sekkan" (1985). That public approach would continue with fellow Shishi production…

The Eye’s Nightmare
'Seifuku shojo: Za ejiki' is Sato's lowest rated film and it's very easy to see why. 'Seifuku shojo: Za ejiki' feels a lot more like an AV than it does a Pinku and has more in common with a film like 'Tumbling Doll of Flesh' than it does with any of Sato's other work. Comparing 'Seifuku shojo: Za ejiki' to 'Tumbling Doll of Flesh' is actually quite insulting because 'Tumbling Doll of Flesh' is equally nasty but actually manages to achieve something worthwhile with it's premise. Both films blend fantasy and reality: 'Tumbling Doll of Flesh' does so by going from bland pornography to warped faux snuff and 'Seifuku shojo: Za ejiki' uses the video camera as…

Satos lowest rated film. Not terrible although it doesn't have nearly as much substance as the majority of his work. What really surprised me, and what it seems like most viewers, was that ending. How did he even get away with filming that?? Crazy. This movie is crazy
Some decent camerawork and color usage here. One his worst pinkus however. (If this even counts as pinku? Its filmed kinda differently than his other work)
Some of the censorship also looks seriously awful during some sequences

Review by Eli Holmie! 2
Oh boy. Satô is no stranger to the man whose new limb is a camera because its the only sliver of power he feels as he weaponizes a tool for creative record to enact sadistic pleasure and document dominance, which in here is about the only recognizable bit of satô depth we’ve come to expect,,, still, he brings his a game in terms of committing 100% to horrific situations of depravity, sweeping coverage and set pieces galore, with an air of irony and “the muddled depths of modernist alienated creativity” thrown atop each scenes resting shot. I missed a lot of the repercussive plot elements strung through the depravity, but the finale, after what has to be the most insane…

Review by Christopher Velasco ★★★½
After going through the bottom of the gutter of Roman X films, it was finally time to watch Satô's descent into SOV.
A year into Roman X, "Uniform Virgin: The Prey" continues Sato's guerrilla-style filmmaking and autobiographical privy-videographer who is violating anyone in his path.
Within minutes, we descend into hell with our main character interviewing school girls and then, with his video camera in hand, assaulting each one of them. There is a female teacher as well.
The two standout scenes are one young woman who gets tied up and painted like Jackson Pollock and is left looking like the actress after the end of "Tumbling Doll of Flesh." The female teacher speaks about being constipated, and the videographer…

The debunking of art and morality through the eye of the movie camera. Probably Sato's punkest film.

the modern fantasy must acknowledge its own paradoxical impossibility. the final state must be a satisfied disappointment, or the whole thing crumbles
